The Russell “Ban‑Ban Ball” paddle refers to a paddle‑ball style toy that the Russell company sold in some markets (particularly Japan) in the 1970s under the name Ban Ban Ball (in other regions a similar toy was called Ding Bats). This product was part of Russell’s broader range of simple skill toys beyond its more famous yo‑yos, and it typically consisted of a handheld paddle with a rubber ball attached by an elastic string that players would try to hit repeatedly — a classic paddle‑ball toy format that dates back to the early 20th century. The Ban Ban Ball version was released during that decade as part of Russell’s export and promotional offerings.
On November 4, 2014, Percy's Fast Food Restaurant Toys Collection was declared the Largest by the Guinness World Records at 10,000 unique pieces from McDonald's, Jollibee, Burger King, KFC, Wendy's, Chick-Fil-A, Carl's Jr., Hardee's and other Fast Food Restaurants. This blog highlights and celebrates each individual toy's story included in the collection as all of them are now Officially Amazing!!!
