Amazing Grace is a Mountain Dew Can

Mountain Dew is a citrus-flavored soft drink that originated in 1940 in Knoxville, created by beverage bottlers Barney Hartman and Ally Hartman. The name “Mountain Dew” was originally a slang term in the Appalachian region for homemade whiskey, and the first version of the drink was developed as a mixer for spirits. In 1964, the brand was acquired by PepsiCo, which reformulated and marketed it nationwide as a bold, high-caffeine citrus soda. Over the decades, Mountain Dew became known for its bright green color, energetic branding, and strong association with youth culture, extreme sports, and gaming, evolving into one of PepsiCo’s most popular global soft drink brands.
