Logos are graphic symbols or designs used by companies, organizations, and brands to represent their identity and communicate their values visually. The concept of logos dates back to ancient civilizations, where symbols were used on coins, pottery, and banners to signify authority, ownership, or religious meaning. The modern understanding of a logo began in the late 19th and early 20th centuries with the rise of industrialization and mass-produced goods, when businesses needed distinct visual marks to differentiate their products. Today, logos are carefully crafted through design principles such as color psychology, typography, and symbolism to create memorable and recognizable brand identities that can transcend language and culture.
