Percy's Fast Food Toy Stories

On November 4, 2014, Percy's Fast Food Restaurant Toys Collection was declared the Largest by the Guinness World Records at 10,000 unique pieces from McDonald's, Jollibee, Burger King, KFC, Wendy's, Chick-Fil-A, Carl's Jr., Hardee's and other Fast Food Restaurants. This blog highlights and celebrates each individual toy's story included in the collection as all of them are now Officially Amazing!!! I will also feature my Comic Strip, Amazing Grace who I hope will be a Fast Food Toy too someday.

Mr. Smee Peter Pan Happy Meal McDonald’s (2002)

Mr. Smee, Captain Hook’s loyal and lovable sidekick, was designed in bright, cartoon-accurate colors with a friendly expression that matched his gentle personality in the movie. The toy typically featured a simple interactive function—such as a movable arm or body action—making it easy and fun for young children to play with. Released globally in select markets, including Asia, the Mr. Smee toy is now considered a nostalgic collectible by Disney and McDonald’s fans, especially those who grew up with early-2000s Happy Meal promotions and classic animated films.

Peter Pan live action film released in 2003 was directed by P.J. Hogan and distributed by Universal Pictures, Columbia Pictures, and Revolution Studios. It starred Jeremy Sumpter as Peter Pan. Wendy’s ran a promotional campaign in conjunction with the release of the movie. This likely included Kids’ meal toys themed around Peter Pan, branded packaging and limited-time merchandise. These types of fast food tie-ins were common in the early 2000s for big family films, especially around holidays (this one released in December 2003).

Peter Pan is a 2003 fantasy adventure film directed by P.J. Hogan and written by Hogan and Michael Goldenberg. The screenplay is based on the play and novel Peter Pan, or The Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up by J.M. Barrie. Jason Isaacs plays the dual roles of Captain Hook and George Darling, Olivia Williams plays Mrs. Darling, while Jeremy Sumpter plays Peter Pan, Rachel Hurd-Wood plays Wendy Darling, and Ludivine Sagnier plays Tinker Bell. Lynn Redgrave plays a supporting role as Aunt Millicent, a new character created for the film.
