BE@RBRICK (often read as “Bearbrick”) is a collectible designer toy created by Japanese company Medicom Toy in 2001, instantly recognizable by its bear-shaped silhouette with a minimalist, blocky form inspired by LEGO-style figures. Produced in multiple standardized sizes—most commonly 100%, 400%, and 1000%—Bearbricks serve as a creative canvas for artists, fashion brands, musicians, films, and pop culture icons, resulting in highly sought-after limited editions. Collaborations with names like Nike, Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, and contemporary artists such as KAWS and Andy Warhol have elevated Bearbricks from simple toys into art objects and status symbols. Today, Bearbricks are widely collected and displayed worldwide, blurring the line between toy design, street culture, and modern art.
