Cabbage Patch Kids are a line of soft-bodied dolls first created by artist Xavier Roberts in 1978 and became a major toy craze in the 1980s. Each doll is uniquely designed with distinct facial features, hair, and clothing, giving every child a “one-of-a-kind” doll. They are known for their signature chubby cheeks, round eyes, and cloth bodies with vinyl heads and limbs. Cabbage Patch Kids dolls were originally sold through a unique adoption process, where buyers received an adoption certificate and a birth certificate for their doll, adding a personalized and collectible appeal. Over the years, the dolls have been produced in various sizes, themed editions, and collaborations, maintaining their popularity as both toys and collectibles worldwide.
