The Lego McDonald’s Happy Meal toy released in the Philippines in 1986 is remembered as one of the earliest promotional tie-ins that introduced many Filipino children to the charm of Lego’s brick-building play. Typically included as small polybag sets or mini buildable figures, these toys offered simple but engaging constructions—such as tiny vehicles, basic characters, or colorful block assortments—that reflected Lego’s classic aesthetic during the mid-1980s. Though modest compared to modern promotional builds, the 1986 sets were prized for providing an accessible taste of Lego creativity at a time when the brand’s products were not yet widely available in the country, making them nostalgic collectibles for Filipino toy enthusiasts today.
