The Amazing Grace comic strip published in the Manila Bulletin on January 2, 2026 features the young and witty character Grace in a lighthearted exchange that humorously reflects modern language and youthful curiosity. In this strip, Grace asks her boy crush, Paulie, whether his “body goal” is working, borrowing a term often used in fitness and self-improvement contexts. Paulie’s reply—“It’s buffering”—uses a popular digital expression to suggest delay or uncertainty, adding a tech-savvy punchline to the conversation. The comic gently captures contemporary slang and childhood humor, showcasing Grace’s playful confidence and the strip’s knack for blending everyday experiences with relatable, modern-day expressions for readers of all ages.
