Kimekomi or Ichimatsu doll

This is a collectible Japanese doll, possibly a Kimekomi or Ichimatsu doll. The doll is dressed in a traditional red kimono featuring a white and pink floral (cherry blossom) pattern.  It appears to be a handicraft item, likely made using the Kimekomi technique where fabric is tucked into grooves in a body made of paulownia sawdust or urethane. The face is delicately hand-painted. These types of dolls have been made since the Edo period in Japan.
