The Shinkalion E5 Hayabusa (Trailer Form) was released as one of the Happy Meal toys from McDonald's Japan in May 2024, inspired by the anime series Shinkansen Henkei Robo Shinkalion: Change the World. This small plastic toy represents the E5 Hayabusa Shinkansen transforming robot equipped with an ERDA trailer unit, giving the mecha extra armor and weapons such as a transport saber and shield in the original series design. The Happy Meal version was part of the first wave of a six-toy Shinkalion collection released from May 17–23, 2024, alongside other units like the E6 Komachi and E7 Kagayaki. Each toy included attachable parts and stickers that allowed kids to assemble and customize the robot, reflecting the franchise’s theme of modular transforming train robots based on real Japanese bullet trains.
