The Plarail Shinkansen Bullet Train Tomica McDonald’s Japan (2012) is a collectible toy released as part of a limited-edition promotion by McDonald's in Japan, featuring miniature versions of Japan’s iconic high-speed trains from the Plarail and Tomica lines. Inspired by the famous Shinkansen, often called “bullet trains,” these toys were designed with bright colors, simplified details, and child-friendly proportions while still reflecting real train models like the N700 series. Made primarily of durable plastic with some rolling mechanisms, the toy could be pushed along surfaces or used with compatible Plarail tracks, encouraging imaginative play and early interest in rail transport. As part of a fast-food tie-in, it was typically included in Happy Meals, making it both a fun toy for children and a sought-after collectible among train enthusiasts and McDonald’s promotional item collectors.
On November 4, 2014, Percy's Fast Food Restaurant Toys Collection was declared the Largest by the Guinness World Records at 10,000 unique pieces from McDonald's, Jollibee, Burger King, KFC, Wendy's, Chick-Fil-A, Carl's Jr., Hardee's and other Fast Food Restaurants. This blog highlights and celebrates each individual toy's story included in the collection as all of them are now Officially Amazing!!! I will also feature my Comic Strip, Amazing Grace who I hope will be a Fast Food Toy too someday.
