The Ojarumaru Happy Meal toy released by McDonald's Japan in 2006 was based on the popular character from the anime series Ojarumaru, created by Rin Inumaru. Known in English as Prince Mackaroo, Ojarumaru is a Heian-era prince who magically travels to the modern world and lives with a kind boy named Kazuma while enjoying sweets and avoiding three small oni who want to reclaim their stolen scepter. The 2006 McDonald’s promotional toy was part of a Japanese Happy Meal set featuring colorful plastic figures designed for young fans of the long-running children’s anime, which first aired on **NHK in 1998. Collectors of McDonald’s Japan toys often value these items for their connection to beloved local anime characters and the unique promotions that differ from those offered in other countries.
On November 4, 2014, Percy's Fast Food Restaurant Toys Collection was declared the Largest by the Guinness World Records at 10,000 unique pieces from McDonald's, Jollibee, Burger King, KFC, Wendy's, Chick-Fil-A, Carl's Jr., Hardee's and other Fast Food Restaurants. This blog highlights and celebrates each individual toy's story included in the collection as all of them are now Officially Amazing!!! I will also feature my Comic Strip, Amazing Grace who I hope will be a Fast Food Toy too someday.
