In 2023, McDonald’s Japan partnered with the popular animated series PAW Patrol to feature it for the first time in its Happy Set kids’ menu (the Japanese Happy Meal) starting March 3, 2023, for a limited period across most Japan locations. The promotion included five different reusable bath stickers showcasing iconic rescue pups like Chase, Marshall, Rocky, Skye, Zuma, and “Kento” (the Japanese name for the human leader), each printed with numbers 0–9 so kids could play and learn about counting and logic as they stuck them on their tub walls, while also engaging with themes of teamwork and helping others from the show’s storylines. Alongside the PAW Patrol toys, McDonald’s also offered past Happy Set toys as part of the promotion.
