Transforming Blue Car / Police Car Voov Bandai McDonald’s Japan (2012)

The VooV Transforming Blue Car / Police Car was one of the small vehicle toys released in 2012 as part of a McDonald's Happy Meal promotion in Japan, produced by Bandai. The toy came from Bandai’s VooV series, a line of miniature vehicles designed with simple transformation mechanisms that allow one vehicle to change into another form. In this version, the toy could shift from a blue civilian-style car into a blue-and-white police patrol car, demonstrating the playful “two-in-one” concept that defined the VooV brand. Made of durable plastic and sized for children’s hands, the toy was distributed with kids’ meals during the Voov/Hello Kitty campaign in Japan in 2012, which featured several transforming vehicles to encourage collecting and imaginative play. Today, the transforming police car is remembered by collectors as a distinctive McDonald’s promotional toy that blended Bandai’s transformation gimmick with everyday emergency vehicle themes.
