One of the Flash's most useful tricks is his ability to pass through any substance. He doesn't need to run around objects or barriers when he can harmlessly move through them. This Flash Fact has a scientific reason behind it. Most of an atom's mass is in its nucleus. Outside the nucleus is empty space. Molecules are made of atomic bonds, and the Flash can vibrate every molecule in his body at great speed. When he does this, his body passes through the intermolecular spaces of solid objects. All the Flash has to do is vibrate his body and nothing can stand in his way.
