The Joker is one of the most iconic and enduring villains in all of fiction — Batman’s archenemy and the embodiment of chaos in the DC Universe. His full name is unknown and often referred to simply as "The Joker". His first appearance was in Batman #1 published in 1940 with creators Bob Kane, Bill Finger, and Jerry Robinson. His nicknames are The Clown Prince of Crime, Mister J, Puddin’ by Harley Quinn, and The Harlequin of Hate. He has white skin, green hair, red lips, often wearing a purple suit with a permanent grin from chemical disfigurement (in most versions). he carries gag-themed weapons like acid-squirting flowers, exploding playing cards, and joy buzzers. He is unpredictable, anarchic, sadistic, and brilliant. He sees life as a joke and aims to prove that everyone is just "one bad day" away from madness. He is often obsessed with Batman, viewing their relationship as a twisted bond.
