In 2022, McDonald's celebrated DreamWorks' 30th anniversary with a special Happy Meal toy collection featuring characters from iconic DreamWorks films. The promotion ran in various countries, including Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines, with each region offering a unique set of toys. The full global collection consisted of 8 plastic toys, each representing a beloved character such as Po and Tigress from Kung Fu Panda, Shrek from Shrek, Alex from Madagascar, Poppy and Branch from Trolls, Toothless from How to Train Your Dragon and The Boss Baby from The Boss Baby. Each toy featured a character-themed case that opened to reveal a mini world with backdrops and pop-up details, reminiscent of Polly Pocket-style playsets. For example, Po's case included a pop-up of his goose dad, Mr. Ping, and a backdrop of their noodle shop .
