Invincible Mario

Did you know?
Invincible Mario is a form that makes its debut in Super Mario Bros. Mario can assume the form after using a Super Star, which made its debut in the same game; while in this state, he is unaffected by both enemies and obstacles, and can defeat most of them by simply touching them. However, the state only lasts a few seconds, and Mario can still lose lives from falling into a pit, touching lava or poison water, being crushed, touching Volcanic Smoke, getting crushed between a wall and a Boohemoth, or running out of time. Invincibility is usually depicted by a flashing, color-changing character. Unless he's already in another invincibility-granting form (like the Mega, White Raccoon, or White Tanooki forms, which are incompatible with this form), Mario usually retains his current form while invincible (for example, if Fire Mario gets a Super Star, he becomes invincible, but retains his Fire form).

Super Mario Connecting Blocks

Did you know?
Blocks are a staple of many platformers and RPGs in the Mario franchise. In fact, they were so successful that blocks are now a great part of the platforming genre for most video game series. Blocks often release coins and items (particularly power-ups) when hit from below or ground pounded from above. Blocks are also commonly used as a platform to get to places, but some, such as the Drop Block, may have negative side-effects when stepped on, making it difficult to traverse them. Blocks have many other uses: they can grow, shrink, recover health, give the player tips or change the level to benefit or harm the player in some way. Some blocks will break when hit, but most will simply become inactive Empty Blocks.

Starbucks Bearista 2016

Did you know?
In 2006, Valerie O'Neil, a Starbucks spokeswoman, said that the logo is an image of a "twin-tailed mermaid, or siren as she's known in Greek mythology". The logo has been significantly streamlined over the years. In the first version, the Starbucks siren was topless and had a fully visible double fish tail. The image also had a rough visual texture and has been likened to a melusine. The image is said by Starbucks to be based on a 16th-century "Norse" woodcut, although other scholars note that it is apparently based on a 15th-century woodcut in J.E. Cirlot's Dictionary of Symbols.

Instead of his species' animal instincts, the Coyote uses absurdly complex contraptions (sometimes in the manner of Rube Goldberg) and elaborate plans to pursue his prey, resulting in his devices comically backfiring with the Coyote often getting injured in slapstick fashion. One running gag involves the Coyote trying in vain to shield himself with a little parasol against a great falling boulder that is about to crush him.
