Clouds in the Sky- Apalit Pampanga (December 2025)

Cloud formations are visible groupings of tiny water droplets or ice crystals suspended in the Earth’s atmosphere, formed when warm, moist air rises, cools, and condenses. They are commonly classified by altitude and appearance into three main types: high-level clouds such as cirrus, which are thin and wispy and often signal fair weather or an approaching change; mid-level clouds like altostratus and altocumulus, which appear layered or patchy and can indicate widespread rain; and low-level clouds including stratus, stratocumulus, and cumulonimbus, the latter known for towering shapes that bring heavy rain, thunderstorms, and sometimes lightning. Studying cloud formations helps meteorologists understand weather patterns, predict rainfall, and track atmospheric changes that influence daily weather and climate.
