The “Where’s Waldo?” game (known as “Where’s Wally?” outside North America) originated as a British series of children’s puzzle books created by Martin Handford, an illustrator with a knack for crowd scenes. The creator was Martin Handford, British illustrator. this game was first published in 1987 in the UK as “Where’s Wally?” It was published by Walker Books in the UK, later Little, Brown in the U.S. The books consist of double-page illustrations filled with hundreds of tiny characters in elaborate, busy scenes. The goal? Find Waldo, a thin guy in a red-and-white striped shirt, bobble hat, and glasses, hidden somewhere in the chaos.
