The M&M Plain Red Mascot Candy Dispenser from Mars Inc., released in 1991, is a collectible novelty item featuring the classic Red character long before he became the confident, sarcastic “spokes-candy” introduced later in the decade. This early dispenser typically showcases Red in a simple, rounded design inspired by the plain (non-peanut) M&M shape, with a lever or push mechanism that releases candies from a built-in compartment. Sold as a fun promotional item in the early 1990s, it reflects the growing trend of character-based candy dispensers and marks one of the early merchandising steps in expanding the M&M brand beyond chocolates, making it a nostalgic piece for both fans and collectors.
