Louie - DuckTales Disney Kellogg’s (1991)

In 1991, Kellogg's partnered with The Walt Disney Company to feature characters from DuckTales on cereal boxes and as promotional prizes, including Louie, one of the adventurous triplet nephews of Donald Duck. Louie, known for his laid-back personality and occasional scheming nature compared to his brothers Huey and Dewey, was prominently illustrated in his signature green cap and shirt, reflecting his role in the popular animated series that originally aired from 1987 to 1990. The 1991 Kellogg’s promotion capitalized on the global success of DuckTales, using colorful box art, collectible cutouts, and themed games at the back of packages to attract young consumers and strengthen brand loyalty. This collaboration highlighted the early 1990s trend of major food brands partnering with hit television cartoons to create memorable, character-driven marketing campaigns that blended breakfast products with family entertainment.
