Max's Red Rooster




Did you know?

The cafe initially served chicken, steak and drinks. Maximo's niece, Ruby, who managed the kitchen, created a special recipe for chicken that became an instant favorite for the GIs. Soon, the Filipino public heard about the delicious chicken recipe and thus they came to the small restaurant and Max's Restaurant was born. Over the years, Max's Restaurant's popularity grew and it became known as "the house that fried chicken built." It has expanded in Metro Manila, Southern and Northern Luzon, Cebu, and to California and other places in the United States. It has also expanded to Canada with plans of opening restaurants to other countries.

Did you know? 
 Max's Restaurant's beginnings started in 1945, after World War II. Maximo Gimenez, a Stanford-educated teacher, befriended the American occupation troops stationed at Quezon City. Because of this friendship, the soldiers regularly visited Maximo's nearby home for a drink or two. Later on, the troops insisted that they pay for their drinks. This prompted Maximo to open a cafe, where the troops could enjoy food and drinks. It opened its first restaurant at 21 South F Street (now Scout Tuason), Brgy. Laging Handa, Quezon City.

Jollibee in Texas



Did you  know?
Jollibee began serving spaghetti in 1979 and the palabok in 1982. Fries were introduced along with the Chickenjoy in 1980. A bigger version of the fastfood's YumBurger, the Champ was launched in 1984. The fast food also serves Jolly Twirl, a soft-served ice cream launched in 1988.

Jollibee experienced rapid growth. It was able to withstand the entry of McDonald's in the Philippines in 1981 by focusing on the specific tastes of the Filipino market, which differed from the American fast food company. The first Jollibee store overseas opened in Taiwan in 1986 which is now closed.[8] Jollibee continued to expand and set up outlets both within the country and abroad.

Snoopy a.k.a Famous Author



Did you know?
Snoopy started writing stories on top of his doghouse on July 12, 1965. He always takes a typewriter, and puts it on his doghouse roof, then starts writing saying, "Here's the World Famous Author writing". How Snoopy fits his huge typewriter on top of his skinny doghouse roof, has never been revealed.

Goofy

Goofy is a funny-animal cartoon character created in 1932 at Walt Disney Productions. Goofy is a tall, anthropomorphic animal with a Southern drawl, and typically wears a turtle neck and vest, with pants, shoes, white gloves, and a tall hat originally designed as a rumpled fedora. Goofy is a close friend of Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck and is one of Disney's most recognizable characters. He is normally characterized as extremely clumsy and dimwitted, yet this interpretation is not always definitive; occasionally Goofy is shown as intuitive, and clever, albeit in his own unique, eccentric way.

Pocahontas

Pocahontas is a 1995 American animated musical romantic drama film produced by Walt Disney Feature Animation for Walt Disney Pictures, the 33rd Disney animated feature film. Directed by Mike Gabriel and Eric Goldberg, the film is inspired by the Native American woman Pocahontas, and portrays a fictionalized account of her historical encounter with Englishman John Smith and the Jamestown settlers that arrived from the Virginia Company. The voice cast stars Irene Bedard and Mel Gibson as Pocahontas and Smith, respectively, with David Ogden Stiers, Russell Means, Christian Bale, Billy Connolly, and Linda Hunt. Simba



Did you know?
Although considered an original character, Simba was inspired by the character Bambi from Disney's Bambi (1942), as well as the stories of Moses and Joseph from the Bible. Additionally, several similarities have been drawn between Simba and Prince Hamlet from William Shakespeare's tragedy of the same name. In 1997, The Lion King was adapted into a Broadway musical, with actors Scott Irby-Ranniar and Jason Raize originating the roles of the cub and adult Simbas, respectively.

In 1963, Fashion Queen Barbie was released. She was inspired by a popular fashion trend of the 1960s: wigs. She had molded brown hair with a remolvable blue band, and wore a white and gold striped bathing suit and simiarily patterned hat. in1964, Swirl Ponytail Barbie, named for her side-sweep(or swirl) bangs was released. This doll also marked a glamor-focused period in barbie's fashion, which lasted for about three years.
